This flight will give trekkers a glimpse of the adventure and excitement ahead in the trek. Upon reaching Lukla we shall trek onwards, from here the trail contours along the side of Dudh-Koshi (Milk River) valley before ascending to Ghat (2530m). Then the trail crosses back to the east side of the river before climbing up to the high suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. From here onwards we have a steady two and half hour climb to Namche Bazaar. Stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Rest day in Namche Bazaar

We shall spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air pressure. In a short trek in and around Namche Bazar, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. Today you have easy day, a short walk uphill to the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarter, a magnificent spot perched on top of Namche Bazaar with breathtaking view of the surrounding snow capped mountain includes Mt. Everest and the valleys way down, with an interesting museum with all kinds of information regarding the history of the Himalayas, geographic, culture, mountaineering history and existing information on flora and fauna of this region. After short visit around the Museum, about 01 and half hrs steep climb brings you up to Syangboche, further to Everest View Hotel for magnificent panoramic view of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Mt. Everest, Nuptse and many more. We shall then trek back to Namche. Stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 06: Trek to Teshinga (3,445m) about 04 hrs walk

Today after having our breakfast we shall move on towards our new destination place called Tashinga. From Namche Bazaar the trail to Tashinga follows the classical approach route to Everest from where you can get breathtaking glances of the surrounding snow capped mountains including Mt. Everest. We shall follow an almost level and winding trail for about 4 hrs to Tashinga. And then we finally arrive at the lodge for our overnight stay within the next 15 minutes. Tashinga shall be our last and final destination for the day. Stay overnight at Tashinga.

Day 07: Day Trek/Hike/Excursion to Tengboche (3850m) 05-06 hrs walk

Now we wake up early for the trek excursion to Tengboche today. We shall begin the trek with awe-inspiring, unforgettable views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Cholatse, Kantaiga, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. This part of the trek (approximately three hours) is quite an easy walk from Namche to Phunki, followed by a three-hour ascent towards Tengboche. Looking across the valley, you can see the path sloping up towards the famous monastery of Tengboche. The day begins with a descent down to Phunki Tenga. Here we cross a suspension bridge before beginning a climb with a steep ascent for approximately 1 hour through a quite heavily forest full of rhododendron and pine. Once out of the heavy forest line, the trail is quite gentle and gradual all the way to Tengboche. It has one of the biggest and oldest monasteries in the Khumbhu valley. After having our lunch we shall trek back to Tashinga. Stay overnight at Tashinga.

Day 08: Trek to Mende (3736m) about 06 hrs walk

Today after having our breakfast we shall leave Tashinga and re-trace the trail to Sanasa. Then the path leads up the shallow valley into Khumjung, the education centre of Khumbu area. If we have enough time we will visit the Khumjung monastery and Khunde Hospital. The trail leads us above Namche Bazaar, by passing the Syangboche Airport. Continuing through the beautiful valley you shall wander along the forest trail and so you might even have a chance to observe some National Birds (Pheasants), Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer. The last hours of our climb to Mende will literally take your breath away, but with gradual acclimatization over the past few days a steady pace and determination will get us to the top. Stay overnight at Mende.

Day 09: Day Hike/trek/Excursion to Thame (3800m) about 05 hrs walk

We have planned an excursion hike up to Thame today therefore we must take a day’s worth of water, camera and warm clothes as we walk through the lap of mountains which is inconveniently an old Tibetan trade route. Here onwards we are faced up with a well-formed, wide path makes for a mostly easy walk all the way to the Thame Village. Thame is a marvelous place as it retains many of its original building and culture till this day. And is perhaps one of the prettiest villages in the Khumbu valley. We shall visit the very popular Thame Monastery and Thame village, the home of Nepal’s most famous mountaineers. And after having our lunch we shall re-trace our way back to Mende. Stay overnight at Mende.

Day 10: Trek to Monjo (2835m) about 05 hrs walk

Today’s trekking is a near moderate leveled trek. After having our breakfast the path descents back down to Monjo, we shall first visit the Laudo Monastery, a fifteen minute walk above Mende. The main temple is only forty years old; it has a remarkable meditation room built behind a huge rock. You shall get a little strenuous patch only after Phungi Thanga village. It is an uphill trek so once you reach Namche; you shall have your lunch and proceed to Monjo. Namche to Monjo is really a mild trek, but some parts of the trail are really steep as they go downhill so you need to be a little careful about it. After our visit we shall re-trace and continue to Namche for lunch. Then we descend all the way to Monjo along the same route as on the way up. Stay overnight at Monjo.

Day 11: Trek to Lukla (2800m) about 05 hrs walk

Today is our final day of the trek as we re-trace our trail back and continue our walk to Lukla. From Monjo we carry on the descent down to Dudh Koshi village through the small villages. Today’s trekking is considerably moderate as you shall walk along Dudh Koshi River and enjoy the beautiful villages on the way. This day takes us through the lower regions of the Everest Himalaya Region. As the altitude begins to fall, we realize huge growth in human settlements around the trails. From Chauri Kharka we start ascending the final hill of the trek to reach the Lukla. You shall feel great to be back again at the gateway of the Everest Region after couple of days trekking at higher altitudes. We shall spend our night in this paradise for trekkers; Lukla. Today you can enjoy the remaining day at Lukla, which has almost all the facilities and are relatively cheaper from other places in this region. You need to contact your airliner office for tomorrow’s departure once you reach Lukla. Stay overnight at Lukla.

Day 12: Fly to Kathmandu (1350m) about 35min flight

If the weather is on our favors we will get an early morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes about 35min. Today we shall start early for Kathmandu as the flight starts early to avoid the disturbances due to the weather. In this short and scenic flight, we shall have the breathtaking views of the mountains, valleys and hills, serpentine shaped rivers and terraced settlements in the bird-eye perspective. The beauty of this amazing landscape never fails to amuse the onlookers. After we land in the airport, you are transferred to the respective hotel of your stay. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 13: Free/leisure day in Kathmandu

Today is a free day to rest and relax or shopping or do more sightseeing around the city. In the afternoon you may explore the cobbled streets of Thamel, Ason and the classic monuments in the nearby Basantapur Durbar Square. After this you may explore the surrounding areas and go for some souvenir shopping for the near and dear ones back in the native place and then spend rest of the day as you want. After exploring the surrounding, get rest in the hotel and prepare for your onward journey. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final departure from Nepal

This is the official end to the marvelous and exciting trek to the elevation lower to the Everest region, less explored and authentic remote landscape in the eastern Nepal. Now it’s time to bid farewell the amazing trekking team which was together for two weeks as officially the trek has come to an end today. You shall be transferred to the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) by a Nepal Trekking Planner’s representative at least three hours prior to the scheduled time of your flight to your onward destination. Can you provide me more information about the lodges on this Luxury trek?
In Luxury trek, lodges offer the perfect opportunity to experience trekking in the mountains in luxury and comfort. Each room in every lodge has an attached bathroom with hot showers and western toilets, comfortable beds and great qualitative food. Everything is provided from sheets and blankets to hot water bottles, beautiful landscaped gardens and comfortable lounges.

How fit do I have to be for this trek?
Everest Luxury Trek is consider as moderate trek but trekking in Himalaya means uphill and downhill walking in remote part. You must be healthy and fit to make your mind you can trek minimum 4-5 hours a day.

How many guides and porters will be there in our group?
A group will have a group leader or a guide who will lead you on the trek. Porters will be there to carry your baggage packs and all the gears. One porter will carry two trekkers baggage. A number of supporting staff will depend upon your group size.

At one time how many liter of water I have to carry in the trek?
Mostly 3-4 liters is sufficient. You will be able to refill bottles at lunch time. When you are in high altitude you have to drink more water to get rid of altitude sickness.

Is it necessary to carry Trekking poles?
Yes, Trekking Poles make you easy to walk in the rough ways. Trekking poles makes your body and leg to move more safely. So, we suggest you to use it.

Is bottled water available everywhere in the trek?
Mainly luxury lodges on the way sell bottled water and other supplies that may be needed for you on the trek. There are no any plastic recycleable facilities in Nepal, we encourage you to bring chlorine tablets and use filter water in the lodges.

Should I have to bring iodine tablets for purifying the water?
You have to bring iodine tablet with you.  Chlorine tablets are widely available. The most effective and commonly used version of chlorine is chlorine dioxide, which is tasteless and odorless. Tablets can be bought cheaply and usually 1 tablet is sufficient to purify 1 liter of water. Neutralizing tablets can also be bought to get rid of the smell and taste of chlorine or iodine. This will need to be done for water obtained using hand pumps or streams in the trek.

What if I get ill while on the trek?
It depends on the nature of your illness. If you suddenly feel dizzy or weak, you have to sit or lie down. If you still feel sick, keep a warm and quiet until you can get medical help. You will carry down if no progress we advise travelers to take a personal kit too.
In serious cases, you need helicopter rescue. Our guide will suggest you to use it if its ver serious. So, helicopter rescue insurance is necessary for every trekker before you come to trek in this trek.

Would you recommend taking a Down Jacket?
The weather is changeable in the Himalaya so you can expect to experience four seasons in one day. Make sure you have plenty of warm layers which you can shed or add as required. While even in winter it can be as warm as 19C during the day, the higher the altitude, the colder the temperature and when high up the temperature drops significantly at night to around -10C in October/November, and to around -20C from December to February.

Is alcohol permitted on trek?

Alcohol is consumed in Nepal. You can buy it in lodges in the trek. Local alcohol is also available. However we suggest you not to drink alcohol at high altitude.

What kind of weather can we expect during trekking?
Mountains weather is difficult to predict. Although at night it is generally cooler and the days are warm. Winter (January and February) will be colder but the days can be warm if the sun is out. There will be bit of snow during the month of January, February and December. It is also important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions.

Difficulties rating of Everest Luxury Trek
A trekker or walker who is able to hike normally 4-5 hours per day carrying a light weight backpack will be very fit enough to do this trekking. There are stone step up and down which are very uneven and due to some long descents your leg may feel shaky so we recommend to use walking poles to feel safer. Luxury Trek is normal and no need to feel altitude related risk.

Recharging Batteries of Electronic Items on the Trek
Hydro electricity or solar power sources are used to charge your electrical items like camera, batteries, iPod, iPhone etc. Lodges may charge small fee per hours for charging facilities. Better to buy adaptors before the trip since plugs are limited. In Nepal 220-240 volt power is used and sockets fit round and flat plugs.

Extra Advice for Luxury trek in Everest
You may see some beautiful and sweet children and you may want to distribute balloons, chocolates, money and pens as many trekkers have felt same. But better not to do so because it encourages them to beg and ask to every trekker.
In the trekking, keep your valuables safe. Do not left anything anywhere. Ensure that you lock your door when you leave your room and do not hang any things outside at night.

Garbage Disposal
Use a dustbins and do not throw anything into the fire. Carry garbage in the way where dustbin facilities are not available and conserve the environment.

Spending Money per Day
Mainly, depends upon spending habits, normally you should allocate US$ 15-20 a day is good enough to buy drinks and chocolates on trekking.

Travel Insurance for Everest Luxury Trek
Trekking in Nepal is mainly in remote area. You should be sufficiently protected and need to have travel insurance that covers emergency evacuation, lost items, liabilities, injuries and medical treatment. Ensure the insurance covers all the activities in the Himalayas. Trekking Planner can offer the appropriate medical response based on your policy and insurance.

Washing and Toilet facilities for Everest Luxury Trek
All the lodges offer hot showers, which will be in bathroom. Limit the use of hot water unless the water is solar heated or firewood for the ecological reason. You should not through toilet paper in the toilet hole rather you should use rubbish bin that is kept inside the toilet.
