Detail Itinerary

Reach Kathmandu via various airlines to land at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, where a Trekking Planner airport representative and staff or guide will receive you for a short transfer to your hotel, in the heart of Kathmandu city.

On reaching your hotel check into your rooms, after refreshing rest from jet-lag join in for rendezvous with other members of the tour for briefing, provided by group leader or guide, with full information regarding the tour and do’s and don’ts to make your holiday enjoyable.

The morning after breakfast a short drive on a vehicle depends upon the size of a group either in a car or comfortable coaches, our guide will take you around places of great interest. As Kathmandu and neighboring cities Patan / Lalitpur and Bhaktapur stepped with ancient monuments which are listed in world heritage sites.

Interesting tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, old Swayambhunath Buddhist Stupa, Bouddhanath, and Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, with Patan durbar square after an exciting day tour back to the hotel.

Early morning start probably carrying packed breakfast or on route to Everest at deluxe Everest View Hotel, on reaching at Kathmandu domestic airport board into a spacious seated helicopter, AS 350 B series of helicopters of Euro-Copter, France popular all over the world and Ecureuil model or similar types.

The captain of the chopper greets you and lifting above Kathmandu city with a sweeping panorama of the Himalayan snow mountain range, views of Ganesh, Langtang and Jugal Himal with Gaurishankar and Mt. Everest in the northeast direction.

Morning before dawn short drive takes you to the scenic hilltop at Sarankot which is above 1,460 m high, located above Pokhara valley and Phewa Lake at the height of 860 m.

A popular tourist spot for striking sunrise views over a wide panorama of the world three highest peaks 7th high Mt. Dhaulagiri, 10th Mt. Annapurna, and the 8th highest Mt. Manaslu with arrays of peaks with majestic Machhapuchare Himal the famous peak with twin summit shaped of a Fish Tail.

Enjoy superb views of beautiful Pokhara city located on a green valley with calm Phewa and Begnas Lakes surrounded by a tier of hills and snow-capped peaks in the north.

Breakfast at Sarankot in the shade of lovely mountain scenery, a famous hilltop for other adventure sports as well as Paragliding and Zip-Flyer, from here a few hour hike downhill to reach by the Phewa lakeside and then back to your hotel.

Rest of the day for individual activities or join in for a pleasant boat ride on Phewa Lake and visit a small island with a Hindu temple of Barahi with an optional hike of an hour to Buddhist Peace Stupa.

The morning after hearty breakfast, our guide will take you for an exciting visit to witness the natural wonders of beautiful Pokhara, as the drive takes you into the center of Pokhara city for views of Seti gorge.

Where Seti River flow right through the city, the boisterous river running underground at places, amazing to watch as it hides in some areas with just 2 meters wide, with 20 m depth which beyond imagination, there are two areas one can see the depth of Seti Gorge, just from the center of the local bazaar at Mahendra Pul (bridge) and just little further at KN Sing Pul (bridge) with lovely park and garden.

From here observe traditional old bazaar and ethnically diverse of traders. In its temples reflects the Newari architecture of Kathmandu valley, although Pokhara majority are of hill people the Gurung and some Magar, Tamang with Hindu Brahmins, Chettries, and Dalits.

The local bazaar has important and interesting shrines called Bindhayabasini Mandir (temple), this white dome-shaped dominates a spacious stone-paved courtyard on a shady hilltop with excellent views of the bazaar and the Annapurna Mountains.

Another attraction of Pokhara is the cascading beautiful waterfalls popularly known as Devi’s Fall, locally called as Patale Chhago (Hell’s Fall) located just 2 k.m. southwest of the city on the Siddhartha Highway a nice pleasant area with views of tremendous waterfalls, monsoon and mid-September time raging volumes of waters makes this place more interesting and impressive.

There are two main caves for visiting or explore another nature wonders’ in Pokhara is the Mahindra Gufa (cave) people calls it a House of Bats, a 2 hr hike and short of 45 minutes to the north of Pokhara (torch/flashlights recommended while visiting caves) enter for some time and view the large limestone, stalactites and stalagmites as well the bats hanging.

Another cave-in Pokhara is Gufteswor Gufa just walking distance from Devis’ fall across the street the entrance is wide with down steps with a shrine of Shiva one can head further down to view the raging Seti River entering a channel into the cave.

Includes tour of the International Mountain Museum, recently added in Pokhara, established and built by Mountaineering Association (NMA), on 1st Nov 1973, initiated the establishment of the International Mountain Museum (IMM) in Pokhara.

By late afternoon completing a wonderful tour drive east of the city to reach at Begnas Lake and further towards another Lake Rupa, for pleasant overnights in Rupakot Resort with grand views of the lake and Snow Mountains.

Morning at leisure and having breakfast with time for your flight to Kathmandu, transfer to Pokhara airport, and fly back to Kathmandu, with a superb panorama of the Himalaya range during 30 minutes on air.

On reaching at Kathmandu airport an hour drive takes you to a scenic hill at Dhulikhel an old Newar town of more than 500 years old, an interesting peaceful place with excellent views of Central and Mid-Eastern Himalayan peaks.

In Dhulikhel enjoy overnights in its lovely Mountain Resorts facing views of lovely surrounding scenery of green hills and snow-clad mountain range.

Early morning enjoy lovely sunrise over chain of Himalayan peaks, and then after breakfast short drive to serene and cool forest surroundings at holy spot Namobuddha.

A holy site where Buddhist pilgrims from all around the world visit all year round, with a historical background where unsurpassable and supreme sites called ‘Three Stupas in Nepal’ a Tagmo Lüjin "marks this place where future Buddha sacrificed his body to a hungry tigress with her young cubs".

After a pleasant and interesting tour of the holy site of Namobuddha drive back to Kathmandu with a visit of old medvial city Bhaktapur, while in Nepal without a visit of Bhaktapur your tour will be incomplete.

Amazing trek with this company!! I wouldn’t do it with anyone else. Our guide Nirmal was the best!

This company goes above and beyond! They think of every detail and take care of all the trekking needs including accommodations, food, water tablets, medical emergencies, etc. Our guide Nirmal was extremely familiar with the trail, he was attentive - making sure everyone was taken care of, made us laugh the entire way, gave great advice/tips/recommendations for a successful trek, generous (carried some of the day packs up when they were feeling tired), encouraged us and more! I was so impressed with how well thought out everything was and I loved that I didn’t have to worry about the details and all I had to do was show up. The other guides and porters were all just as fun, thoughtful, and accommodating. I would highly recommended these guys for the EBC trek!

Best trek in the world

In March i completed the Everest High Pass trek with Trekking Planner and had all the support i needed from Trekking planner from planning the trip, to arriving in Nepal and then completing the trek. I had an amazing guide in Gyeljen, whose knowledge of the area was the best! This meant I was able to make it over the passes when many other groups didn't due to the weather. He helped with all the accommodation and provided great advice to help me deal with the altitude and very cold weather as these were a new challenge to me. The whole team and Dipak were very welcoming and funny and this meant the trek and then the visit to Chitwan afterwards was one of the best experiences of my life! Would highly recommend and planning to return sometime soon.

Best Guide for trekking in the Himalyas

Everest Base Camp is such an amazing trek, but to have the best, kindest and funniest guide, who encouraged our team all the way and back, made my trek extra special. Nirmal Lamichhane your knowledge of all the mountains are incredible and you knew everyone on the trek. Watching you interact with the rest of the guides, they clearly have great respect for you. You are a natural leader. You are ambitious and know where you want to be in the future and I applaud you for studying while doing treks and taking people up into the mountains.

I enjoyed your stories and games along the way especially the last 2 hours before reaching Namche when it was up, up and up (your way of saying it is very steep). When I fell ill and gotten worse you were there all the way alongside me to help and encourage. The morning after reaching Base Camp when I was faced with being evacuated from Gorakshep, you told me that you believe that I could finish the trek and you would be there all the way if I choose to do so. Seeing the helicopter leave was hard but you believed in me and it made all the difference. Thank you so much.

Nirmal carried my bag on our decent in order for me to be able to breath better (I had bad flue, borderline bronchitis). Out of his own pocket, he bought us Fanta, lollypops, gum .... anything to lift moral on the last day down to Lukla. Our group had such fun with Nirmal.

If ever you need a guide, Nirmal is the perfect man for your trek. He does varies treks into the mountains, not only to Base Camp. Mountain expert, clued-up with flights to/ from Lukla, knows everyone and teahouses, can help with last minute gear, great knowledge about altitude sickness and knows how to take great photos (and how to pose, lol).

The organising of my trip was great. Before leaving the UK, all my emails were answered promptly. Collecting from the airport, great accommodation in Kathmandu and the tea houses we stayed at on our trek was great. We were taken to a welcoming dinner at a local Nepali restaurant. What an experience. They also arrange for a farewell dinner back in Kathmandu - all included in the price. The care and detail was appreciated. Fruit and biscuits at dinner while on the trek- and the guides carried all of it all the way. Taking our oxygen levels after every meal to make sure we were in great shape.

I have just had the best travel experience of my life.

What a trip!

What a great buch of guys at Nepal Trekking Planner!

Dipak and his team made my trip so easy, simple and enjoyable - I can't still hardly believe it.

I felt totally safe and fully supported - which was a big thing for me as I was unsure how the high altitude would affect me. I needn't have worried as my guide Ananta and porter Ganesh were brilliant - really helpful, patient and firendly. Every night my blood/oxygen saturation was checked which gave me real confidence. Not many of the guides from different agencies were doing this which suprised me a little.

I had 16 days in the mountains and enjoyed every minute. As things became harder or easier, my intinery was flexible with Ananta very willing recommmend alternatives and to make changes to suit. This made a real difference and I really felt that I got the most from my trek.

I'm not one for recommending and over-praising but Dipak, Ananta and Ganesh all went the extra mile to make it all very special indeed.

Brilliant service

Just finished the EBC trip with Trekking Planner. Brilliant service from Prajol in Kathmandu who covered my every need with cheerfulness. My guide on the trek, Sudip, was excellent throughout ensuring I made it to Kala Pattar despite a severe headache. He was great fun and was ably supported by Damact (?) as my porter. All in all I really aprecated the service from Dipak and his team and recommend them wholeheartedly.
