Mera Peak Climbing Adventure, an interesting mountain where all types of trekkers and climbers can enjoy the adventurous feat.

Where one can explore as well enjoying the walks and climb on top of Mera Peak summit? That rises at 6,461 m and 21,190 feet, one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal.

Located in sheer wilderness and within hidden Inku and Hongu valleys, and close to Baruntse and Makalu mountain range. Situated in the east direction of Khumbu and south of Mt. Everest, it is within Sagarmatha National Park. As well very close to Makalu and Baruntse National Park and Conservation area, enclosed within an array of giant peaks.

Mera Peak Climbing Adventure takes you off the beaten tracks seldom visited by trekkers and mostly by climbers and adventurers. A perfect and ideal peak for all interested trekkers and beginners in mountaineering, as the peak with grade F.

The system of grading, we have used from the world-renowned and widely accepted French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification System.

The grade F describes as an easy climb of less technical effort walking on ice, snow, and rocks. However our guide provides safety measures throughout the climb and trekking period, where all climbers require good climbing equipment.

Mera Peak Climbing Adventure offers wonderful walks to its base camp and back to Lukla. Mera Peak one of few peaks in Nepal, where trekkers can easily reach the summit after practice and with proper acclimatization.

Begins with a panoramic and short scenic flight to Lukla airport at the height of 2,820 m high. Walk begins from Lukla heading away from the main busy trail and villages towards mountain wilderness. Continues with climb over Naulekh and Zatwar-la pass to reach Inku valley, covered by rhododendron, firs, pines and birch trees.

Adventure leads towards Mera Peak base camp within fields of ice and glaciers, after having few days rest for acclimatization. As well as days for practice lessons from our expert guide climb on ice and rocks.

After a pleasant day rest with climbing exercise getting ready for the ‘Big Day’ to Mera Peak summit. Early morning hike and climb takes you past few icy crevasses and then a long haul on snow ridge. As the climb progress reaches on top of Mera Peak summit facing a breathtaking panorama of high giant peaks. Views includes Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse towards north with Makalu and Baruntse, extends towards Mt. Kanchenjunga in the east direction.

Enjoying marvelous scenery of mountains with Amadablam, Kusum-Khanguru and Khangtiaga, making a safe descend for return journey to Lukla.

At Lukla enjoy last night’s dinner with fellow trekkers, guides, and staff, where early morning flight reach you back in Kathmandu. After a great mesmerizing experience on Mera Peak Climbing Adventure.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350 m and transfer to Hotel.

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines, where you will be received by our office staff and guide with warm welcome then transfer to your hotels in the hub of the city.

After checking into your rooms and getting refreshed join the other groups for briefing on Mera Peak Climbing, our guide offers you with useful important information regarding trek and your stay in Nepal with us.

Evening includes welcome dinner in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant with Folk Culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

Day 2 : Full day in Kathmandu with half day sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Morning, depart from the hotel for exciting tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest, Kathmandu city and its valley steeped with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries listed as World Heritage Sites.

After an interesting tour afternoon free to relax and preparation for Gokyo Lake & Everest Panorama trekking next early morning flight to Lukla.

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla 2,830 m with overnight at Lukla.

Starting early morning transfer to domestic airport for short and scenic flight to Lukla, taking a smaller aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) during 30 minutes on air with amazing panorama of Himalayan series of peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands on its unique uphill runways reaching at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla.

Overnight in Lukla with afternoon free to explore around its interesting market and streets and witness local Sherpa culture of great interest with views of Kongde peaks towards west direction.

Day 4 : Trek to Chutanga 3,430 m -/ 11,250 ft - 04 hrs walks with overnight camp.

Mornings with first day walk to reach our first overnight camp at Chutanga as our route leads past many farm lands with moderate trekking encountering few short ups overlooking beautiful scenery along the route and then camping in complete isolation in the green alpine woods.

Day 5 : Trek to Thuli-Kharka (4300 meter/14,107 feet) - 5/6 hours.

Walk beings with steep climb to cross over high rocky ridges of Kalo and Naulekh Himal the crossing Zatwar-la and Zatwar-Og passes of over 4,300 m high to reach into Inkhu valley with overnight camp at Thuli-Kharka around grazing area.

Day 6 : Trek to Kothe 4,360 m / 11,808 ft- 05 hrs.

Today walk leads within patch of forest to enter into mountainous country to reach inner Inkhu valley where routr leads on route Mera Peak base camp, as trek continues within tree lines past many pasture area to reach a clear and wide grassy field and Kothe for overnight camp.

Day 7 : Trek to Thangnak 4,356 m / 14,291 ft - 05 hrs.

Morning walk start on downhill with grand views of Peak 43 and Kusum Kanguru peaks within scenic Inkhu valley where you can view stunning South Face of Mera Peak, as walk continues into dense rhododendron and pine tree forest to reach a nice meadow and an area at Mosum Kharka. Our journey continues towards north leaving the tree lines behind, after a good trek reaching a wide open valley with at Gondaishung close to Thangnak area.

Gondaishung a place with interesting old small Gompa (a small monastery or shrine) of more than 200 years, from here walk for another hour to reach at Thangnak for overnight stop, a nice place with temporary huts and shades with a small lodge and tea house.

Day 8 : Trek to Khare 5,045 m /16,551 ft - 04 hrs.

After overnight stop at scenic area at Thangnak adventure continues on gradual path with some few ups and downs overlooking fabulous views to reach near at Charpatti Tal (4 sided glacial lake).

This small lake dammed by stone and moraines, and then with short climb with downhill towards a large meadow at Khare for overnight camp.

Day 9 : Acclimatization day at Khare and Pre-Climbing Training.

Today at ease after a good scenic walks from Lukla, this free and rest day allows you to acclimatize and as well time for some practice with your ice-axe and crampons around the camp, finding perfect place for some exercise on ice and rocks.

Day 10 : Climb Mera High Camp 5,780 m / 18,958 ft 6 hrs.

From the base camp we have allowed one more camp to make this climb more approachable, morning walk follows across Mera la and then reaching at Mera High Camp in complete wilderness, on reaching at high camp enjoy afternoon at leisure with lunch and preparation for the next early morning climb on top Mera Peak.

Where our expert guides will scout the route and fixing ropes where necessary to safe guard from incidental accidents.

Day 11 : Mera Peak (6,461 meters/21,190 feet) summit and back to Khare 5,045 m /16, 551 ft.

Fain destination of the adventure, starting very early before break of dawn, route leads with steep climb but without any technical difficulty a straight-forward climb one can do it with the help of ski poles, however for safety measures where all climbers needs well equipped with crampons, ice axe, helmets.

After a tough high altitude climb then finally reaching on top of the rewards you with outstanding panorama of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho- Oyu all the way to Mt. Kanchenjunga in the eastern horizon. Enjoying marvelous moments feeling in high spirit, then descend on the same route to base camp at Khare.

Day 12 : Reserve Day for Contingency.

An extra day reserved as contingency in case of unfavorable weather conditions, if all goes well this spare can be used on-route Lukla or before to make the walk more enjoyable.

Day 13 : Trek to Thangnak - 06 hrs.

Return journey back Thangnak after a wonderful experience and climb on to Mera Peak, where walk will be easier from here on after losing much altitude to reach at Thangnak for overnight camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Thuli-Kharka 4,300 m/14,07 ft - 05 hrs.

Morning walk continues leading into woodlands with steep climb and continue trek on nice grassy meadow within gradual path to reach our last camp of the trip at Thuli- Kharka.

Day 15 : Trek too Lukla via Zatrwa La pass 4,610 m / 15,124 ft - 07 hrs.

Last day walk of the adventure morning leads with climb over high ridge of Naulekh or Kalo Himal including Zatrwa Og and Zatrwa-La passes, after a tough long climb then descend to Chutanga into green areas and forest, where few hours of great walk takes you back at Lukla for final overnight around Khumbu and Everest area.

Day 16 : Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu with panorama of mountains views all the way to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our staff transfers you back into your hotel with free afternoon to relax after a great and wonderful adventure on Mera Peak Climb and trek.

Day 17 : In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.

Today a free day in Kathmandu reserved as extra day in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla, due to unfavorable bad weather conditions which can occur sometimes as Himalaya weather can be unpredictable.

If all goes well as per our guideline and set itinerary, enjoy the day with individual activities or join in for exciting tour around Kathmandu at places of great interest.

Day 18 : Final International departure from Nepal.

Last day in Nepal, country of Himalayan wonders and as per your international flight time depart for homeward bound or to next respective connecting destinations.

Our staff and guide transfer you to Kathmandu airport after a mesmerizing memory and great adventure on Mera Peak Climb.
