Where Does the Trip Begin and End?

The tours begin in the historical and cultural hub of Nepal. Discover UNESCO world heritage sites, i.e., Kathmandu Durbar SquarePatan Durbar SquarePashupatinath TempleBouddhanath Stupa, and Swyambhunath.

Our trip continues to Nagarkot. We’ll enjoy a full day of hiking in Nagarkot, where you can experience trekking in Nepal. It is a very popular hilltop near Kathmandu, which is mainly known for the sunrise view of mountains such as Dhaulagiri in the west and Kanchenjunga in the east, including Mt. Everest. The other ranges you will see are the Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and Gaurishankar Ranges. After the hike, we drive to Pokhara, a paradise of lakes, temples, and mountain views.

We will explore the famous Phewa Lake, caves, falls, and many other sacred temples and stupas. Again, we’ll drive from Pokhara to Chitwan National Park through the scenic countryside, the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a world heritage site in 1984. Chitwan National Park is famous for its diverse natural environment and the wide variety of animals and birds, such as the bangle tiger and one-horn rhino, which are the only real animals in the world. Elephant safari, jungle walk, elephant breeding center, and canoeing ridge are the major activities in Chitwan that make your holiday more exciting.

What is the Best Time for family tour in Nepal?

The best time to take a mountain flight or visit Chitwan and Pokhara in Nepal depends on the season and weather conditions. Here are the recommended times for each activity:

  • Mountain Flight: The best time for a mountain flight in Nepal is during the dry season, which typically spans from October to April. During this period, the skies are generally clear, providing the best visibility of the majestic Himalayan Mountain ranges, including Mount Everest. However, it's essential to check weather conditions before booking the flight, as weather can be unpredictable even during the dry season.
  • Chitwan Tour: Chitwan National Park is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts. The ideal time to visit Chitwan is during the winter months (December to February) and the spring months (March to May). During this time, the weather is pleasant, and the chances of spotting wildlife, including one-horned rhinos, elephants, and various bird species, are higher. The monsoon season (June to September) should be avoided as heavy rainfall can lead to flooding and make wildlife spotting difficult.
  • Pokhara Tour: Pokhara is a beautiful city known for its stunning lakes and views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. The best time to visit Pokhara is during the autumn months (September to November) and the spring months (March to May). These seasons offer clear skies, mild temperatures, and great visibility of the mountains and lakes. If you want to go trekking in the Annapurna Region, this is also the best time to do so. During the monsoon season (June to September), Pokhara experiences heavy rainfall, so it's not an ideal time for outdoor activities.

Once you are ready to head to the mountain flight, a representative from Trekking Planner Nepal will come to pick you up from the hotel lobby early in the morning. The representative is responsible for taking you to the domestic airport section in a private vehicle. Once you reach the airport, you will board the plane for a mountain flight after all the logistics are handled.

Your mountain flight journey commences as the plane takes off from the airstrip. All the passengers will get a window seat, and the number of passengers is limited. Similarly, as the plane takes off, you will move towards the Himalayan region of Nepal. The flight path can vary, but passengers usually notice views of Mount Everest (the highest mountain in the world), Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and many more.

During the flight, you can savor the stunning view of the mountain peaks while taking images and recording videos. You can document the gorgeous imagery of the mountain and its surroundings. You will also listen to the in-flight commentary or narration, where the airplane attendants will explain the name and significance of the mountain peaks. The flight will last about an hour, so savor every moment and enjoy the trip above the clouds.

Once you finish the mountain flight, you will return to Kathmandu. The plane you were on will land back at the Kathmandu airstrip. Upon landing, you can proceed to the terminal, where a representative from Trekking Planner Nepal will be in the arrivals area waiting for you. Once we meet, you will be transported to Nagarkot.

The drive to Nagarkot hilltop (2,175 meters) will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon reaching Nagarkot's hilltop station, enjoy the view of the sunset slowly below the horizon. The Nagarkot hill station is a perfect place to enjoy the sunset, as you will see the sunrays fall in red and pink hues over the snow-capped mountains, including Mount Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the Langtang range. Similarly, you can also witness other mesmerizing peaks, including Jugal Himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Shisapangma, Hiunchuli, and Gyaltzen peaks from the top hill of Nagarkot.

After quality time in Nagarkot, take a short tea break while enjoying the panoramic view. Then, when you feel like leaving, get in the vehicle, which will direct you to a splendid hotel in Nagarkot for dinner. After dinner, rest and spend the night in Nagarkot.

Today, you will wake up early and have breakfast, or get a packed lunch from the hotel. Afterward, our guide will escort you to the nearby bus station for a drive to Pokhara. The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara takes 8 to 10 hours, depending on traffic. However, it may be longer due to ongoing construction along different sections of the road. The road condition is often good, though some sections can be bumpy due to construction work.

You will travel from Thankot, leaving Kathmandu along the river road, and pass various waterfalls and prominent villages like Naubise, Thakre, Gajuri, Benighat, and Mugling, then to Pokhara. You can have lunch at any convenient place along the highway.

Once you arrive in Pokhara, you will be transferred to a hotel for dinner. If time favors you, you can stroll around the streets of Pokhara to see the nightlife. After dinner, return to the room and stay the night.

It is believed that the central part of the goddess was brought from India.
            • Devi's Fall: It is a waterfall that forms a 500-foot-long underground tunnel before disappearing. The name is dedicated to a Swiss woman who lost her life while swimming there. • Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: It is a large limestone cave that has a statue of the Hindu God Shiva.
