Although we do have travelers trekking around whole months of the year to Everest base camp trek, where we always mention that March to May and mid September to December are best time for trek where most of the days are clear for views and as well for walks, with sunny days from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. as per the season and months.
Even though sometimes the weather can be unpredictable during spring and autumn sky is crystal clear from dusk till dawn, with some chances of light rain and snow where the temperature is also exquisite with sunlight being warm and environment after delving of the sun is not as cold as other months.
During winters and monsoon times, it will be challenging with the weather due to heavy snowfall, cold temperature but that’s what excites many adventurous trekkers.
January to February:
This time is the coldest, especially from Mid November to early February, with much chances of snowfall in the mountainous area and altitude wise, can result in extreme cold temperature without wind chill factor.
Where daytime may be warm and pleasant with clear blue skies, the night time will be extremely cold but it’s perfectly fine to trek in these months as Trekking Planner make sure of every possible safety during the trek, but if you are afraid of extreme cold, you shouldn’t be trekking within these cold and tough months.
