Thank you Dipak and Kilnath for the great trip to Nepal! Everything has been very well planned and our trip therefore went without any problem whatsoever. It was nice to simply be able to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. I would not hesitate to recommend Trekking Planner for the preparation of a trek to this beautiful country and will definitevely retain the services of this company upon my return to Nepal (hopefully in upper mustang!). Thanks again! Visited April 2017
We were a couple that just finished the Gokyo trip. The experience was amazing, and Trekking Planner (Dipak, our guide Bhanu, and all others that helped) did a great job. My girlfriend was worried by altitude sickness, and we had a slow and steady trek, and in the end, we both managed to "climb" to the 5360 m high Gokyo Ri! We are extremely grateful to Trekking Planner for this experience. The weather was amazing (I really recommend going in mid October), and so were the views of course! The culture, nature, food and overall exercise you will do on this trek are amazing. Moreover, after Namche Bazar, it becomes much less crowded (due to the fact, that hundreds go to see Everest Base Camp), and we really wanted to avoid the crowds. The Gokyo valley is peaceful, serene, and offers breathtaking views on Cho Oyu throughout the trek, and on Sagarmatha (Everest) on several occasions (basically, every time you "climb" a bit higher). What I would like to emphasize is, that everything went extremely smooth - we noticed a lot of other groups/couples/individuals, that were stuck either on Kathmandu or Lukla airports, due to delays in flights, or flights just not happening at all (not uncommon in Nepal). Dipak and his team however did all they could, and brought us to the Everest area and back on the planned dates. I think this is where they stand out - making your trip a care free experience. Together with that, Dipak and his team make everything to make you feel appreciated - from the warm welcome with Marigolds at the Kathmandu airport, to the farewell golden shawls you receive as a token of good luck.
TripAdvisor Review of: "Gokyo Trek, 11 days" My first Nepal experience exceeded all my expectations. Magnificent landscape and impressive culture. Thanks to my friend, Klaus, who has already had very good experiences with Trekking Planner (Dipak and his team), we were always in good hands. Individual planning, all-round service (airport shuttle, flight to/from Lukla) stage planning, attentive but not intrusive information. Special thanks also to guide Ananta and our porter Ganeh, who took great care of us and made this adventure possible for us.
Compared to the other Everest Base Camp trekking routes the 15 Days Everest Gokyo Valley Trekking tour is the easiest. Trekking Planner Nepal has the best trek itinerary that allows adventurers to enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Everest and other high Himalayan peaks. The only challenging factor on this trek is the number of walking days on uneven terrains for several hours. Besides that the trek is moderately pleasant and comfortable to walk at a gradual pace.
The best season to attempt the Gokyo Valley Trek is in the pre-monsoon season i.e. from March to May and post-monsoon season i.e. from late September to December. The days will be mostly warm while it gets cold between sunset and sunrise. It is also possible to do this trek in February and early September but the trek is best preferred during the pleasant months.
Yes! The southwest face of Mount Everest is best seen from here. The sightings of Mount Everest are splendid. You get to see the best panoramic view of the whole Everest Region from Gokyo Ri.
It is good to have some kind of trekking experience though not compulsory. Besides, many novice trekkers have successfully managed to do it with ease. The only thing required is good fitness, self-motivation and strong passion to do the Gokyo Valley trek.
Trekking Planner Nepal always allows and has a flexible trekking approach when it comes to cancellation or transfer of your deposit to anyone or any other trip. If you wish to cancel your booked trips, some cancellation charges are applied and you can get it done.
Taking your comfort factor into account, we make sure to book the best lodge with two beds in each room and western toilet facilities wherever available. Normally, the beds are clean and comfortable with an electric blanket if available and an attached bathroom for most nights.

Lunch will be provided at tea houses or small restaurants along the trail. The meals contain fresh fruits and organic ingredients which have the right balance to keep you going for the entire trekking journey.
There is every chance of getting altitude sickness but if a few things are kept in mind aided by the right kind of planning it can be easily avoided. The key to it is to make a slow ascend with proper rest and acclimatization. You need to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated, eat a balanced diet, avoid alcohol and cigarettes, and be mantelly strong.
No, oxygen is not required for the trek as we get enough time for acclimatization. In addition, we provide Diamox, a medication that suppresses altitude sickness symptoms. In extreme cases if you do get severe altitude sickness, then we do descend to a lower altitude instantly. But we have oxygen for emergency.
No crampons are not required for this trek if you are trekking during the preferred seasons. But if the trek falls in the mid-winter or monsoon season then crampons may be required. It is advisable to have crampons handy as you never know what kind of situations it might be.
Trekking Planner has an able team of trekking leaders and mountain crew who are highly skillful in tackling kind of emergencies if it occurs. First thing If you feel sick with the altitude, let your leader know about it . With his assessment and experience, he can sense the intensity of the seriousness and if need be he will take the necessary steps.
He will either bring you down to a lower elevation or rescue you using a helicopter. If the helicopter is unable to fly due to any reasons, we will use our local contacts to coordinate and make use of alternative evacuation procedures. It involves carrying you to the nearest health post or a safe helicopter landing area.
