Our Team

Trekking is an adventure, and your trip depends on good team work between those planning your itinerary, your guides and your porters. We pride ourselves on providing a very personal service; and we can do this because we are a small company and all members of the team work closely together. However we do all have different backgrounds as you can see !

Dipak Lamichhane
Executive Team Leader

I am the founder and leader of the Nepal Trekking Planner team.  Originally from the Gurkha District, the hilly area of Nepal, I now live with my wife and two children in Katmandu. I am a government trained professional trekking guide and, since qualifying in 1998, I have guided on most of the trekking routes and tours in Nepal, as well as acting as a travel consultant for several well-known trekking companies. It has been an exciting journey for me, from porter to highly respected guide and consultant. And I am delighted to now be leading my own team, using all my guiding and business experience to provide the best possible service for each client. Nepal is a fascinating and diverse country, where just a few miles will take you into a completely different landscape. I enjoy finding new routes so that our clients can have the best possible choice. And I enjoy travelling with them as they discover my country for themselves.

Norma Sherratt
Foreign Representative

I am based in the UK and the link between the company and British clients. An experienced traveler and keen hill walker, I have trekked in the Himalayas (several times with Dipak) and the Andes, as well as walking nearer to home in the UK and Europe. I have a post graduate qualification in Tourism and am a member of Tourism Concern, a UK based organization working to encourage sustainable tourism world wide.

I meet so many walkers in the UK who say they would love to go trekking in Nepal but are not sure how to set about arranging a trip; or indeed whether the trekking would be too difficult for them. But it really is possible, for any keen walker, and Nepal is an amazing country.

It’s just a big wonderful nature with great people.

Besides trekking take your time for excursion for example to Chitwan and visit the jungle by walking, riding on elephants or by Jeep; or enjoy the extraordinary view of the Annapurna range from Nagarkot (35 km from Kathmandu), relax at Pokhara lake or explore places in and near Kathmandu like like Durbar Square or Bhaktapur, Swayambunath temple, the Buddhist stupa in Boudhanath,
