Student Holiday in Nepal - 13 Days Itinerary

13 days Student Holiday in Nepal Trekking is provided with standard Itinerary days where some days walks can be shorter or longer as per your physical fitness, some designated overnight stops can change, due to available rooms and other facilities and etc…….

We will follow the itinerary if its needs to be changed in case of weather, landslides, and difficulties on walks requiring more days where our leader and lead head guides decide to hold full authority for Trekking Planner.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)

Upon arrival at the International airport in Kathmandu, you will be picked up by our airport representative and transferred to the hotel. After checking, you will have a free afternoon to explore the area by yourself (if you need any assistance from us please let us know). Later in the after you will meet one of our office representatives for a briefing about your tours, at that time if you have any questions or any queries could ask us and then walk to one of the Authentic restaurants for a welcome dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2

Full day in Kathmandu with guided sightseeing tours

Morning about 8:30 am, we have breakfast and leave for day sightseeing tours in Kathmandu valley. We will take a tour of the valley to see the key sites such as the classic Newari (the original inhabitants of the Kathmandu valley) architecture in the medieval city of Bhaktapur.  Pashupatinath, one of the famous Hindu temples is located near the holy river Bagmati then drive to the Buddhanath stupa one of the biggest and oldest stupas in the world. Later in the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip meeting with your trekking guide in the hotel. Our office representative will brief you regarding our trek as well as provides you the opportunity to ask any question about the upcoming trip with a guide. And stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3

Drive to Pokhara (820m) about 7 hrs

This is another good tourist destination for internal and external tourism. This is a natural beauty city, from where you can see a nice view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu Himalayan range including Fish-tail Mountain. It has such a nice natural lake which is located in the heart of the city. Today after breakfast, a short but scenic drive goes along a nice agriculture field. On arrival, you will have half-day sightseeing tours Lake, waterfall, and cave. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Drive to Nayapul (1080m) about 02 hrs drive and trek to Tirkhedhunga (1570m) 3-4 hrs walk

Today an early morning breakfast drive leads on the good motorable road for about 45 Km. the journey continues along with the great scenery passing through several villages Naudanda, Kanre, and Lumle all the way to Nayapul. On arrival at Nayapul, where our adventure begins from the warm subtropical region, the walk follows the Modi River upstream to Birethanti & follows the east bank of Bhurungdi Khola with the scenery of waterfall and high green forest.  Lunch will be served somewhere on the way at the teahouses and finally reaches to Tikhedhunga. Stay overnight at the teahouses.

Day 5

Tikhedhunga-Ullery-Ghorepani (2780m) 5-6 hrs walks

After breakfast in the place where you spend the night, today the trail  steeply ascends on the long stone steps untill Ulleri village with the scenery  of terrace landscape and Annapurna Himalaya. After few hours of long hard climb  with several breaks in between reaching at Ulleri village, from here the path  is gradual on the winding trail through the cool shade of pine and rhododendron  forest, the walk continues with few short ups and downs to the Ghorepani, from  where you will be able to see good view of Annapurna Mountain range. Stay over  night at the teahouses.

Day 6

Ghorepani toTadapani (2660m) 4-5 hrs walks

Today the early morning your guide will wake you up and take you to Poon hill after about 45 min walk from where you will be able to see good sunrise on the mountain. Poon Hill is named after the hill tribe Pun, inhabitants of Ghorepani, and the surrounding area. From Poon Hill, you will see Dolpo, Mt Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchare (Fishtail and Manaslu Himalayan range. After a short but very nice panoramic view from Poon Hill, you walk back to the hotel. After breakfast you will continue the trek to Tadapani, The walk passes through the rhododendron, Pine, and bamboo frost with short up and down. Lunch will serve on the way at the teahouses. Stay overnight at the teahouses.

Day 7

Tadapani to Ghandruk (1990m) 3-4 hrs walk

Today’s walk leads through the deep forest and hours on the gradual path to  Bhasi Kharka. From Bhasi Kharka the route goes downward with the hide-and-seek view of Annapurna and Fishtail mountain following through the rainforest and muddy path to the Ghandruk village. On reaching Ghandruk at lunchtime and as well for the night stop with enough time to explore the village and Gurung culture.  This is one of the biggest towns on this trek.

Day 8

Ghandruk to Pokhara

After a great time in the Ghandruck Village today, you descending Pokhara via Birethanti one can see mules loaded with goods en route. Walking distance is 05 hrs to Nayapool (New-bridge) from where you are going to finish your trek and drive back to Pokhara. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9

Pokhara to Rafting

Today after breakfast, in the morning you will have a couple of hrs' drive to the rafting starting point for the day rafting in Trishuli River. Lunch serve during the rafting. After a couple of hrs rafting you will be spending the night in the tent/hotel.

Day 10

Rafting and drive to Chitwan

After breakfast, in the morning you will have a couple of hrs rafting trips then drive to Chitwan National park through the scenic countryside for Safari activities. You will have some of the activities today before the dinner. In the evening you will have a cultural programme. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 11

Full day in Chitwan National park

Full Day Jungle activities include a jungle safari on the elephant back, nature walks, jungle drive, canoe ridge, and bird watching in the park having 360 sq. miles of tall grassland and thick forests. We will attempt to search out some of the elusive animals of the Terai, and with the skill of the full will encounter the one-horned Rhino, various types of deer, boar, and leopard, and if we are very fortunate the elusive tiger. Later this evening you will be able to watch Tharu Cultural Dance. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 12

Drive to Kathmandu (4-5hrs)

Today in the morning you will have one of the activities before breakfast then after breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu through the scenic countryside. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 13

Final departure

Today you will transfer to the international airport for final departure.

Essential Information

What is the best season and time for student holiday in Nepal?

The ideal season for combining Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking, jungle safari in Chitwan, and rafting in Trishuli would be from September to November (autumn) or from February to May (spring).
