The most popular 8,000-meter mountain base camps are Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. Everest, Annapurna, and Manaslu base camps are favorites among the trekkers, due to the accessibility by drive or flight.
The Mt. Everest Base Camp trekking grade is from moderate to adventurous due to the gain in high altitude. Mt. Everest Base Camp is at an altitude of 5,364 m or 17,598 ft. It is also the base of Mt. Lhotse, the 4th highest peak, and trekkers can enjoy the arctic-like landscapes.

Mt. Annapurna Base Camp:
One of the shortest and most scenic treks among all base camps and adventurous trekking destinations. There are two options to choose from: East or North Base Camps.
The most popular is the east Annapurna Base Camp. The east Annapurna Base Camp is located within Annapurna Sanctuary, enclosed by amphitheaters of peaks of the Annapurna ranges.
Annapurna Base Camp is at 4,130 m or 13,549 ft. high, and is on the lap of the staggering
Mt. Annapurna-I, the world’s 10th-highest peak. A moderate to adventurous grade trekking with constant views of the alluring snow-capped peaks. The trek starts and ends at
scenic Pokhara city, the renowned tourist destination. Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary trek of a week from Pokhara to Pokhara.
The North Annapurna Base Camp is less trekked by outside visitors, and takes you through enchanting alpine woodland. Reaching at sheer mountain wilderness amidst towering peaks
of Mt. Annapurna-I. A trek of less than a week, an exciting adventure following the off-the-beaten tracks towards Annapurna North Base Camp. It is at a height of 4,190 m/13,747 ft. and involves a few hours' drive from Pokhara to Pokhara.
Mt. Dhaulagiri-I Base Camp:
Mt. Dhaulagiri towers high at8,167 m/26,795 feet), located in Nepal North Far West Himalayas, and is close apart from the Annapurna Himalaya. Mt. Dhaulagiri Base Camp falls within the exciting Dhaulagiri Circuit treks, which is one of the adventurous and demanding treks. It involves walking through the moraine and glaciers for a few days and crossing the High French Pass at 5,360 m. The trek leads you to the Hidden Valley and traverses the Dhampus Pass, 5,234 m high, from Mygdi to the Mustang district. Dhaulagiri-I Base Camp stands at 4,750 m/15,584 feet right beneath the staggering walls of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Dhaulagiri Circuit and base camp trek packages of 15/16 days with drives and flights from Jomsom to Pokhara.
Mt. Manaslu, the world’s 8th-highest peak, towers high at 8,163 m/26,781 feet.
Mt. Manaslu base camp is4,800 meters or 15,748 feet high. Located south of the main Manaslu Circuit and Larke-La Pass trekking routes. Manaslu Base Camp is mostly visited by mountaineering expeditions for the climb. For trekkers, it is an optional acclimatization hike on a rest day at Sama-Gaon on the Manaslu Circuit trek. Manaslu Base Camp is 4-5 hours beyond the popular Manaslu Circuit route.
Joining the Manaslu Circuit Trek, interested people can hike to Manaslu Base Camp from Sama Gaon. Manaslu Circuit Trek is about 12/13 days, and includes drives both ways from Kathmandu to Kathmandu.
Mt. Makalu Base Camp:
Mt. Makalu, the world’s 5th highest peak, is located in the Far North East around the scenic Barun Valley. One of the least-ventured regions of trekking, however, is slowly gaining more trekkers than in the past decades. Mt. Makalu Base Camp at 4,870 meters or 15,977 feet high, is an exciting, rewarding adventure of 15/16 days. Includes flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar town airport, includes drives both ways to the start and end of the trek.
The Makalu Base Camp trek from moderate to adventurous grades; it is a complete wilderness adventure to enjoy.
Mt. Kanchenjunga Base Camp:
Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world’s 3rd highest tower at 8,586 meters or 28,169 feet.
Located in Far North East Nepal within the district of Taplejung, the mountain straddles the border with Nepal and Sikkim. A small state of North East India, but most of the trek is done from Nepal. The Kanchenjunga circuit or base camp trek includes visiting both South and North Base Camps of the massif Mt. Kanchenjunga. The South Base Camp is at 4,740 meters/ 15,518 feet high, the North Base Campat 5,143 m/16,873 feet.The grade of trekking is from moderate to adventurous, and the duration of the trek is 17/18 days. Includes scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur airport around the lowland of Terai, Far East Nepal. Then, driving to the starting and ending point of trekking, one of the remote trekking adventures around Far East Nepal.
HIGH HIMALAYAN PASS ADVENTURES:

The most popular Himalayan Pass Adventures are as follows:
Annapurna Circuit takes you to high Thorang-La Pass above, 5,416 m, a traverse from the Manang area to the Mustang district. Adventure of a week to 10 days, depending upon the itinerary.
Everest Three Passes is another great adventure crossing over three high passes, including a visit to Everest base camp. Climb to the highest point on top of Kalapathar at 5,643 m for close views of Mt. Everest. The three passes cross Khongma-La 5,535 m, Cho-La 5,420 m, and Renjo-La at 5,360 m. An exciting adventure traversing from the east to the western rim of the Khumbu Valley with constant views of the towering snow mountain ranges.
Trek of 17/18 days with flights Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu, a moderate to adventurous grade trek.
Gokyo and Everest Base Camp via Cho-La pass takes you to the picturesque Gokyo Valley of emerald glacial lakes. Spending time at Gokyo with a climb to the high Gokyo-Ri top, then traversing over Cho-La pass. The trek continues towards Everest Base Camp and the climb to Kalapathar top, and then heads back to Lukla. For a scenic short flight to Kathmandu, after an exciting adventure of 15/16 days, from Lukla to Lukla. A Moderate to Adventurous grade trekking adventure.
Manaslu Circuit and Larke-La Pass, also known as Around Manaslu, is a great and exciting adventure. Starts from the lowland of the Gorkha district, following the glacial Buddhi-Gandaki River to the high Manaslu Valley. Reaching Sama Gaon, inhabited by the natives of Tibetan origin, located close to Manaslu base camp and Larke-La Pass. The adventure then leads further west of Manaslu Valley and traverses over high Larke-La Pass at 5,106 m/16,752 feet.
The adventure continues heading towards the Manang area at Dharapani village for an exciting drive back to Kathmandu. A moderate to adventurous grade trek of 12/13 days within restricted areas of Nepal. All foreign trekkers require a special permit to enter Upper Manaslu from
Jagat Village.
Dhaulagiri Circuit:
Dhaulagiri Circuit is almost the same as the Dhaulagiri-I Base Camp trek, an exciting adventure of two weeks. One of the adventurous treks around the Nepal Far West Himalayas, where the massif Dhaulagiri Himal is located. The trek leads via Dhaulagiri-I Base Camp and over French Pass at 5,360 m to reach
the Hidden Valley. The adventure slowly ends after crossing over Dhampus Pass, 5,234 m high, and heads towards the Mustang district. After leaving the Mygdi and Dhaulagiri zone to conclude the trek at lovely Marpha Village and Jomsom Town. A short scenic flight from Jomsom takes you to Pokhara, before reaching Kathmandu.
Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Trek:
Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda Lake Trek is one of the marvelous combinations.
Trekkers will have the opportunity to explore around both sides of the Langtang Himal range from North West to the Eastern areas, loaded with charming scenery and walking into nice, lovely hill and mountain villages of great interest.
First step of the adventure takes you on moderate trails with climbs to reach beautiful Langtang Valley at Kyanjin, with time here to get acclimatized, and having rest days for a short hike and acclimatization before heading towards the high areas of Gosainkunda glacial lakes.
Gosainkunda is regarded as one of the most important pilgrimage spots for the Hindu religion as well as for some Buddhist followers, where in August, around Full Moon time a great festival called Jani Purnima is held.
From Gosainkunda adventure takes you over East Laurabinaya-La and Gosainkunda passes at 4,610 m / 15,124 ft. Then walk through lovely villages to Chisapani, located on a high ridge of the Kathmandu valley rim. The trek concludes at Sundarijal for a short drive back to Kathmandu, after a wonderful experience on the Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda Lake Trek. A moderate to adventurous trek of 13/14 days’ duration, which includes drives both ways.

Makalu and Sherpani Col/Pass: is a challenging and demanding trek crossing over Makalu West Col and Sherpani Pass. Located in the remote corners of Barun Valley and Makalu towards the Everest region. From Makalu base camp, the climb leads to a traverse above 5,640 m crossing over Sherpani and Makalu West Col. The trek reaches close to Baruntse Himal base camp and then over Amphu Labtsa-La Pass. Then reaches towards Imjatse Valley around Khumbu and the Everest region. An adventure of more than three weeks with short and scenic flights both ways.
Rolwaling Valley & Tashi Labtsa-La Pass Adventures: Another great exciting adventure to enjoy the Rolwaling Valley and the Tashi Labtsa-La Pass at 5,755 m.
An exciting and hidden pocket of the Central Himalayas in the close shadows of majestic Gaurishankar Himal. Rolwaling Valley trek leads you from the verdant green yak pasture field to remorseless fields of ice and snow. Crossing close by the glacial Tsho Rolpa Lake and then over the high pass of Tashi Labtsa-La.
